Jerri and Ronald Hand Fast Together! Married April 9, 2022
We are gathered here today to witness the union of Ronald and Jerri. Welcome friends and family! We’re glad to have you with us.
We are all
so blessed when we find that “special someone”, the puzzle piece that aligns
with ours. Jerri and Ronald were blessed
to find each other in a very modern way – online! Ronald showed Jerri his love with his sense
of humor and patience and Jerri returned that love with her caring and loving
manner. The proposal was beautiful, too,
in a fantastic beach setting on South Padre.
That memory will be forever remembered with feelings of love by this
couple.
Today is the beginning of a new chapter of that remarkable journey for this couple. Drawing on their mutual admiration, respect, and trust, they are ready to embark on the next chapter in their lives. We celebrate the love and light evident in their relationship, and wish them well on this joyous occasion.
Marriage is an integral part of the human tradition. Let us remember, as we stand here before God, that the vows taken today hold great importance, just as they did to our ancestors. As individuals, we make the choice to enter the union of marriage in order to share all aspects of ourselves with our soul mate. Today, this is true for Ronald and Jerri.
Under the eyes of God, together we take a moment to acknowledge the seriousness of the commitment being entered into today. With great joy, we also recognize the special bond shared by Ronald and Jerri.
A wedding is largely about symbols; symbols are important and helpful, because they make an idea and a value concrete and physical - something we can see and touch.
They’re
helpful because they serve as a powerful reminder of a time and a place and a
memory – a feeling and even a promise – that may have faded over time.

Hand fasting
is a symbol like these. It’s one of the
world’s oldest wedding traditions and it’s found in cultures all over the
world. In joining hands, Ronald and
Jerri symbolize how they freely offer their lives to one another. And in fastening their hands together, the
ribbon symbolizes how Ronald and Jerri leave this place today with lives now
bound up together. How after today, an
idea of two stories comes together and two sets of hopes and desires for the
future are joined in commitment and intention.
Ronald and
Jerri, as I fasten your hands together and tie the knot, I invite you to
reflect on the joy and responsibility that awaits you. From today, being bound together in the
commitment and intention of marriage means that each of you is a lifeline, safe
place to love and be deeply loved by the other.
I will now invite the couple to share their vows with one another. Ronald and Jerri, the promises you make today are sacred; they are the groundwork from which your marriage will grow and blossom over time.
Ronald,
would you like to go first?
Jerri, today you will become my Wife. I promise to love you with all my heart, from
now until eternity. I cannot wait to
begin building our life together.
Jerri, your turn.
Ronald, today you will become my
Husband. I promise to love you with all
my heart, from now until eternity. I
cannot wait to begin building our life together.
Ronald, before your family and friends, do you take Jerri as your beloved Wife, to have and to hold, through laughter and sadness, through challenges and successes, so long as you both shall live? Ronald: I Do

This bond is never broken, and continues in a perpetual circle, glowing with the warmth and eternal light of two souls in a perfect union.
